Disney Announces 'Ice Age 6' Is Currently in the Works
Nostalgia hits the Pleistocene era.
Disney and 20th Century Animation announced that Ice Age 6 is on its way. The Pleistocene era will see the return of Manny, Sid and Diego and the rest of the herd to the big screen.
In an official video announcement posted by Disney, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg — all of which have led the voice cast of the franchise, shared the news of the return for a new adventure in the sixth installment. The announcement also confirmed that the film is currently in production. The last Ice Age film arrived in 2016 and grossed $408.5 million USD globally. The first film arrived in 2002 and the franchise has since grown to include several shorts, series and even a spin-off in 2002.
While Disney has not given an update as to when the sixth will release just yet. But the commercial success of the film has garnered an addition to the franchise. Watch Romano make the announcement in the video below.
