Cactus Jack To Present Virgil Abloh's 2024 Invitational

Virgil Abloh‘s 2024 Invitational is shaping up to be the most grandiose edition of the annual affair. For this year’s daylong skate event – which marks the third since its launch in 2022 – Travis Scott‘s Cactus Jack has joined on as the “presenting partner” of the invitational, alongside first-time supporting sponsor Supreme.

“Cactus Jack’s cultural influence will be on full display, blending art, fashion, music, and sport,” a press release notes. The brand will “shape the experience” immersively, offering up both custom-designed skate obstacles as well as exclusive on-site co-branded merch developed in collaboration with Architecture.

The 2024 Virgil Abloh Invitational, helmed by both Architecture and Virgil Abloh Securities, goes down in Miami, Florida on December 7, taking over the city’s Lot 11 skate park for a third year in a row. Attendees can expect a slate of activities including free skateboarding lessons, screenprinting workshops, an open skate session, and the return of the signature Abloh Invitational demo led by nationwide top professional skaters.

“To be able to give back to the community through an activity that heavily influenced Virgil in his creative endeavors is an immense privilege,” the late designer’s widow Shannon Abloh conveyed in a statement. “We hope to continue doing this for years to come and are eagerly anticipating the skating world’s return to the Lot 11 park.”

Also on-site will be the event’s official photographer Atiba Jefferson, videographer Davonte Jolly, designer Jonathan Olivares and additional sponsor Jarritos.

“The third annual Abloh Invitational promises to be a celebration of Virgil Abloh’s legacy and his commitment to bridging communities through creative collaboration [...] The day will be a testament to Virgil’s vision of inspiring future generations through innovative, inclusive experiences,” concludes the release.
