Update: At last, it’s time for the Air Jordan 11 Low to return in the model’s iconic “Bred” colorway. We’ve been covering this comeback since June of last year and finally have a complete set of imagery from the Swoosh ahead of its launch later this month. As expected — and discussed several times below — it sports black at both the patent leather mudguard and mesh upper, combining it with a white midsole and red outsole. Release remains set for April 26 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers in a complete family size range with adult pairs priced at $190 USD.

Update: After first appearing at the end of November, we now have our best preview yet of what this year’s Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” has in store for us. As described in our update below, the pair combines a mixed material black upper with white at the midsole and a semi-translucent red at the outsole. A release date of April 26 remains scheduled as the pair is expected to drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $190 USD.

Update: Back in June, rumors began to swirl that the Air Jordan Low “Bred” would be coming back in 2025 — and, in a bit of news that delighted Air Jordan purists, that it would be a faithful re-creation of the PE that Michael Jordan wore in game one of the 1996 NBA Finals. Now, our first look at the forthcoming retro has been revealed.

Though not the most flattering sneaker photo that’s ever been taken (in fairness, nobody would confuse most sneaker leakers with professional photographers) the first look at the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” does show us all the key details. The early rumors appear to be holding true, as this low-cut iteration of the Air Jordan 11 looks be a 1:1 re-creation of Jordan’s PE with all its classic ballistic mesh and patent leather construction intact, plus the familiar cherry red outsole and white midsole. Of special note is that this “Bred” uses an original black sockliner, where past Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” releases offered a non-OG red iteration.

Expect the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” to release in a full family size run April 6, 2025, with prices ranging from $60 USD for a toddler-sized pair to $190 USD for an adult-sized pair. And while you wait, read the original article below for more on the shoe’s history.

Original Story: The Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” is set to return for the first time in a decade, as reports have surfaced indicating that it’ll be touching down as part of Jordan Brand‘s summer 2025 release calendar. Though Michael Jordan mostly played in the original, high-top variation of the Air Jordan 11 — he debuted them during the 1995 NBA Playoffs — the Air Jordan 11 Low, specifically the “Bred” had its own moment in on-court sneaker lore, as Jordan donned a PE pair during game one of the 1996 NBA Finals against the Seattle SuperSonics.

It’s that pair that supposedly served as inspiration for this retro release — remember, the Air Jordan 11 Low didn’t debut until 2001, as the launch of the Air Jordan 11 was originally accompanied by the Air Jordan 11 Low IE, a model that boasted the same midsole as its high-top counterpart but a vastly different upper. How, exactly, this PE-inspired retro will differ from the previous Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” release (2015, pictured above) has yet to be announced, but it’ll feature the shiny black patent leather mudguard, cherry-red outsole and midfoot carbon fiber shank that originally made it famous.

Stay tuned for further updates as they’re available, and, as mentioned, expect the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” to touch down as part of Jordan Brand’s summer 2025 Air Jordan retro lineup.
