Original Story: South Korean brand thisisneverthat is dropping a New Balance 1000 collaboration. New Balance continues to dive deeper into the Y2K resurgence trends with the releases of its retro-futuristic silhouettes like the 1000. Tapping into early 2000s nostalgia, the shoe arrives in a clean, white mesh upper construction complemented with metallic silver overlays for the added futuristic touch. Bold deep orange accents hit the branding, including the signature New Balance “N” logo on the lateral side and the “1000” embroidered branding. The deep red/orange tint hits the eyelets as wel las parts of the shoe for the added detail as it sits atop a white midsole and black rubber outsole. thisisneverthat’s moniker is co-branded with New Balance’s on the heel as well as the tongue label. The shoe does not have an official release just yet but is slated to drop this holiday season.
