It’s spooky season with Damian Lillard and the Three Stripes. Gearing up for “Halloween,” Lillard and adidas are dropping a gory iteration of the Dame 9. Initially revealed earlier this year, the shoe has also seen a BAPE collaboration this summer. Setting the tone for the upcoming NBA season, the shoe takes on a mostly black patent leather mix, giving the shoe its ominous aesthetic. Implementing Dame’s “Cut Your Heart Out” shooting, the shoe also features metallic silver stripes that are reminiscent of the role of blades with blood-like graphics dripping atop and complementing the marks on the black outsole. Bone-like text reading YKW71I on the lateral heel is a nod to Lillard’s record-setting 71-point game. Look out for the shoe arriving later this month.
