For this year’s Design Miami.Paris program, Louis Vuitton is highlighting its Objets Nomades collection, made in close collaboration with Estúdio Campana. In celebration of the Brazilian studio’s 40th anniversary, the exhibition will highlight furniture projects throughout the Objets Nomades partnership, which began in 2012.

The exhibition will revisit the 2015 Humberto Campana-designed Cocoon Chair with the introduction of 6 special editions drawing inspiration from traditional Brazilian folklore. The new set of chairs, crafted by Louis Vuitton’s haute couture artisans, boasts textured embellishments referencing the natural habitats of the studio’s homeland.

Other special pieces include the puffy cloud-inspired Bomboca (2017), the flower-shaped Bulbo chair (2019), and the Maracatu cabinet (2012), one of the first works Estúdio Campana made for the Objets Nomades collection. Louis Vuitton will also inaugurate the new Cabinet Kaléidoscope, a trompe l’œil piece that required more than 200 hours of meticulous work and over 500 technicolor leather pieces.

In addition to the display, the Louis Vuitton Apartment immerses visitors in the French luxury brand’s world through an interior space adorned with innovative seating by collaborators like Frank Chou, Raw Edges and Zanellato/Borlotto. Across the apartment, an array of trunks, fabrics, cushions, books and vases evoke Louis Vuitton’s signature style.

The Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades exhibition will take place at LV Dream during Design Miami.Paris from October 16 to 20 from 11 am to 8 pm.
