adidas' Fitness Rave Shared a Look Into the Future of Training for Next Gen Athletes
Taking place at last weekend’s Les Mills Live Berlin.
Last weekend, adidas and Les Mills brought their Les Mills Live fitness festival to Berlin. Following on from several worldwide community events, the two-day festival took place at Kraftwerk Berlin – one of the city’s most iconic nightlife venues – where training and rave culture merged into one.
The open-air warehouse location housed the festival across the three stories with sports, tech, and cultural activations on every corner. At the entrance, billboard-sized displays and thumping electronic music filled the arena and set the tone for the weekend. Welcoming 3,000 guests to the event, the first floor provided a chill-out zone with immersive VR experiences, pre-workout sessions as well as vendors serving up healthy snacks and beverages.
Meanwhile, the main scheduling of fitness sessions was hosted on the floors above. In one of the main halls, body pump classes, strength workouts, and a recovery rave were led by partner instructors who brought the newest pieces in adidas’ high-performance range including the Lycra-crafted Optime collection and the Dropset 3 designed specifically for technical strength training. A new pilates program was also debuted at the festival for guests wanting to improve core strength and endurance through full-body choreography and hypnotic music.
As part of the nightlife-inspired theme, adidas and Les Mills hosted two grand showcases across the weekend amplified by Kraftwerk’s engulfing strobe lights and LED displays. A Superbowl-style half-time show presented guests with the opportunity to take part in a large-scale dance routine while, a Sunday service performance with live gospel music headed by singer Noah Slee wrapped up the festival with feel-good movement.
