Exclusive Pieces Dropping at the New Palace Seoul Flagship Store

Ahead of the official opening for its new Seoul flagship store, British skate and streetwear brand Palace is celebrating its expansion in Asia with exclusive pieces. The new space is situated in the vibrant and central area of Apgujeong, renowned as a shopping destination for streetwear aficionados.

In a two-story space and Palace’s biggest store yet, the retailer is set to open to the public later this week. The exclusive drop will see South Korean influences on classic Palace staples. For one, t-shirts see the Palace brand name translated to Korean, maintaining the signature red and blue stripe designs, coincidentally matching the colors of the South Korean flag. The Korean branding for Palace replaces the original one and can be seen as an overlay on the triangle logo on the hoodie. Other Korean motifs include the tiger, which is symbol of good luck, power and strength. The tiger is a prominent figure on the Palace letterman jacket, while on some other pieces, the stripes alone act as a unique detail for the graphics. The varsity jacket also features the phrase, “Palace, Peace, Korea.” Accessories include caps and a pin to pair alongside staple t-shirts and hoodies.

The interior of the store is said to take inspiration from the Korean Palace, fusing cultural elements with modern touch points. The exterior facade is kept minimal and understated with the Palace logo lit and 3D angled as the only sign of the branding.
