New Balance has revealed the latest addition to its WRPD Runner series, this time in a “Grey Matter” colorway that taps into the brand’s heritage but is paired with a silhouette that looks toward its future.

While the WRPD Runner has yet to receive any collaborative examples, there have been a number of inline releases since its launch in June. The silhouette has seen tonal examples like the debut “Sea Salt” pair and “Dark Mushroom” colorway to vibrant takes like the “Black/Green” and “Black/Blue” pairs.

This latest example of the WRPD Runner taps into retro charm and futuristic appeal, making it likely to be a popular example of the silhouette. Unlike the “Sea Salt” pair, which features a prominent “N” logo dressed in black, the “Grey Matter” opts for a light grey “N” logo against a darker grey backdrop, which provides a more subtle expression.

The pair is expected to drop via New Balance’s official site on February 1, with a retail price in line with previous releases at $150 USD.
