Ceramic Brussels is the first international art fair dedicated to showcasing contemporary ceramics. Currently taking place from January 25-28 at the Tour&Taxis site in Brussels, the inaugural edition is featuring approximately 60 Belgian and international galleries, institutions, and key figures in the world of ceramics. Notably, 20 galleries will present solo shows by individual artists, exploring diverse perspectives from various disciplines and nationalities, predominantly underscored by Belgian and French galleries.

Co-managed by Gilles Parmentier and Jean-Marc Dimanche, a Franco-Belgian duo, with the support of renowned international experts, Ceramic Brussels aims to highlight the vibrancy and diversity of contemporary ceramics, fostering collaboration among artists, institutions, galleries, and audiences. The fair boasts a robust program, including conferences and other activities.

A significant component is the Ceramic Brussels Art Prize, created to showcase emerging ceramic artists without gallery representation. Over 200 entries were received, and the ten winners—Antoine Moulinard, Audrey Ballacchino, François Bauer, Duo Vertigo, Damien Fragnon, Elsa Guillaume, Jonas Moënne, Inup Park, Joke Raes, and Ming-Miao Ko—are currently being featured in a group exhibition at the fair alongside a dedicated publication.

During the opening, three prizes were awarded, including a solo exhibition for the jury prize at the 2025 edition, a two-month residency in Paris with Fondation LAccolade – Institut de France, and participation in a group show at The Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/Paris in 2024.

Each year, Ceramic Brussels plans to invite a distinguished figure in contemporary ceramics as a guest of honor. For the inaugural edition, sculptor Johan Creten assumes this role and contributes to the 2024 program as a member of the advisory board. Head to Ceramic Brussels for more information.
