Bulgari Presents Its Luxurious LVMH Watch Week Novelties
Embodying the “Time is Gold” theme.
At LVMH Watch Week in Miami, Bulgari has presented its latest novelties, all in the spirit of “Time is Gold.” As mentioned in the Bulgari: Beyond Time book, the Maison’s CEO, Jean-Christophe Babi wrote that “The greatest challenge is to give shape to an emotion, especially when that emotion is measured in time.” With materials like yellow gold and rose gold being prominently used across the lineup, this year’s theme – “Time is Gold” – serves as a response to that with each of the timepieces crafted to capture timelessness through the splendor of the precious materiality.
Octo Finissimo
Bulgari’s Octo Finissimo can be viewed as an encapsulation of Bulgari’s classic elegance and horological savoir-faire. Continuing to expand on this record-setting and incredibly iconic model, the Maison has unveiled two new versions — in Yellow Gold and Tuscan Copper. From bracelet to case, the former arrives in a satin-polished 18k yellow gold. Set against the timepiece’s golden flow is a deep blue dial in a lacquered finish, while its crown is fitted with a black ceramic insert. As for the Tuscan Copper model, it spotlights a muted salmon-pink dial with rhodium-plated embellishments that match its stainless steel build.
Per usual, the 40mm-wide Octo Finissimo exhibits an incredibly slim profile of 2.23mm in thickness, all the while housing the 60-hour power reserve BVL138 caliber Manufacture caliber. The yellow gold version has a retail price point of $45,500 USD and is set to release soon. Meanwhile, the Tuscan copper variant is now available via Bulgari for $13,300 USD.
Lucea
The elegance and contemporary Lucea model has also received an updated design that visually augments its radiance. Offered in sleek steel or rose gold-incorporated builds, the time-tellers also come in two other variants with diamond-set bezels. The highlight of these new Lucea references is its mother-of-pearl Intarsio dials, which are put together in finely-cut pieces to emulate a sunray-like effect.
Exuding a retro but prestigious appeal, a particular spotlight may be directed to the one model that’s fitted with a malachite marquetry Intarsio dial. Just like its mother-of-pearl counterparts, the timepiece is also adorned with dazzling indices made from brilliant-cut diamonds, while V-shaped crowns are topped with cabochon-cut synthetic sapphires. Offered in two sizes, the 33mm runs on a self-winding caliber, meanwhile, the 28mm version is powered by a quartz movement.
Bulgari Bulgari
Touted by the Maison as a timeless statement, the Bulgari Bulgari model proudly wears its name on its bezel. For this year’s LVMH Watch Week, Bulgari has unveiled two colorways: a rose gold case with a silvered matte opaline dial and yellow gold with a matte black dial. Both color options are available in a quartz-powered 26mm size or a 38 mm-wide case that’s equipped with the in-house BVL191 mechanical movement.
The timepieces are all accompanied by an alligator strap in either brown, black or beige. Set to release soon, the new Bulgari Bulgari watches are priced from $8,250 – $13,200 USD.
Bulgari Bulgari x Lisa Limited Edition
Another worthwhile highlight from Bulgari’s latest unveiling is its new limited-edition collaboration with Lisa from Blackpink. This isn’t the first time Lisa has collaborated with the Maison on this particular watch model. Last year, the Bulgari global ambassador presented a 700-piece limited edition featuring an opalescent dial. This time around, the collaboration dons a dazzling mosaic watch face composed of white mother of pearls. Furthering adorning the dial are12 diamond indices and rose gold hands that echo the engraved bezel. Available in 23mm in a limited run of 400 examples and 1,1000 pieces for the 33mm option.
