Headie One has dropped off his second solo single of the year – and it was recorded in just six days. On the new cut “More Money More Problems”, the rapper honestly reflects on the hardships of fame through bouts of sharp lyricism – the music video, however, highlights some of the plus sides to his lavish lifestyle.

Headie delivers three minutes of infamously smart bars, over a classic Drill beat produced by M1OnTheBeat and Deggzy.  “More money, more problems / I been feelin’ like Biggie / There’s no hope when you come from Tottenham so we’ve already made history,” Headie opens, making reference to his hometown.

“The haters don’t wanna see me blowing, they wanna do me in my own hood like Nipsey / Gotta ask shawty, if I went today would you actually miss me / Or if I got birded would you come visit, hug me and kiss me, / ‘Cos I come up from hardships, the feds still tryna get me on firearm charges / They want me back in HMP, where it all started.”

The jet-setting music video showcases the UK rapper’s global success, following Headie as he gallivants from country to country – making stops in Dubai, Brussels, London and Helsinki – to perform and pet exotic animals (such as tigers and monkeys) along the way.

“More Money More Problems” comes nearly seven months after the rapper’s first single of the year, the introspective cut “Martin’s Sofa.”

Headie’s new cut, “More Money More Problems” is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Stream the track’s music video above.
