Japanese watch company Seiko has expanded its 5 Sports SKX series of fashionable wristwear, maintaining its practical design while enhancing the face with bold colors. This new addition is comfortable and versatile, featuring a mid-size body that goes from office to happy hour.

Founded in Tokyo in 1881, Seiko’s craftsmanship embraces innovation that’s grounded in tradition, a duality that connects the future to the past. Accordingly, the new 5 Sports is both nostalgic and modern, updated with playful details while referencing the original model created in 1968. Each watch is 3.8 cm wide, 1.21 cm thick, and 4.42 cm from lug to lug. Equipped with a steel bracelet, it also withstands over 328 feet of water resistance, providing ease of mind in any environment. Additionally, it has a unidirectional rotating bezel to indicate elapsed time.

In celebration of the line’s 55th anniversary, this new model evolves the SKX Sport Style’s aesthetic lineage, available in black, teal, champagne, and orange, a traditional color inherited from the ‘60s model. This decorative flair provides charm and adaptability, representing the diversity of modern lifestyles and values. While honoring the 5 Sports’ historical roots, the timepiece has been crafted with contemporary ideals in mind. Equipping its wearer with individuality that’s both sophisticated and pragmatic, this expansion will ensure that the Seiko 5 Sports’ journey continues into the future.

The Seiko 5 Sports SKX Mid-Size Model is available at Seiko.
