Acne Studios has never been afraid of experimentation. From its futuristic and forest-inspired runway shows to the clean-cut tailoring seen across its more street-focused designs featured in HEAT’s mystery boxesJonny Johansson’s Stockholm-based brand is always willing to push its ideas into new realms, and this has been encapsulated perfectly in the label’s new Bolzter Football Sneakers.

When first meeting the eye, Acne Studios’ latest footwear silhouette shows slight similarities to Nike’s OG Total 90 football boot. And while the Swoosh’s classic interpretation of the boot hasn’t been seen on the pitch for over a decade, Acne now appears to be revitalizing the design slightly, with distinctive two-tone stripe detailing being applied to the right side of the sneaker’s upper.

Additionally, the silver sneakers are crafted with a metallic leather upper, while a quilted finish is used to complement the side lace-up fastening, folded tongue, round toe, logo branding, and treaded rubber outsole. Meanwhile, the stand-out feature of the design comes in the form of the two-tone detailing, which utilizes bright tones of green and orange.

You can take a closer look at the new footwear release from Acne Studios above and it is available to shop via select retailers now.
