PUMA Teams Up With PHANTACi for "Obscure Luxury" Capsule
Including two footwear offerings and three articles of clothing.

PUMA and streetwear brand PHANTACi team up for a second time, following their first collab in 2016. The latest offering from the two is an “Obscure Luxury” capsule that includes two sneakers, the Slipstream Lo and the Rise Nitro, as well as three clothing items.
Led by creative director Jay Chou, the collection aims to explore the duality between understated and glamorous styles, through the lens of classical aesthetic style with accents of Baroque influence.
The highlight of the collection is the unveiling of two new shoe designs, first the Slipstream Lo, a classic silhouette and second the Rise Nitro, a modern basketball shoe featuring PUMA’s nitrogen technology. The Slipstream Lo incorporates a hidden ivory white midsole with a royal-inspired cross-pattern design, symbolizing the intersection of classical music and art history.
The Rise Nitro, on the other hand, boasts a “ROYAL BLUE” deep blue color scheme with engineered mesh uppers and features a nitrogen-infused foam midsole, as well as PUMA’s PROPLATE tech for enhanced stability and propulsion.
In addition to the footwear offerings, the collection also introduces three clothing items, including a button-up shirt, t-shirt and trousers. Drawing inspiration from Chou’s love for the Baroque style, the collection combines deep blue fabric textures with exquisite art patterns.
Notably, the Slipstream Friends and Family Limited Edition release features golden Baroque patterns and a unique leather-textured shoebox, making it a highly collectible piece for those that can get their hands on it.
The general release of the capsule is set to launch on PUMA’s global site starting July 16, with retail prices ranging from $57 USD to $156 USD.
