Made by Choice Shows Support for the TLGBQIA+ Community With Its New GLITS Rainbow Lounge Chair
Crafted in collaboration with artist Matthew Day Jackson.

Pride Month may be over, but that doesn’t mean showing love for the TLGBQIA+ community needs to stop. And so the Finnish design company Made by Choice has tapped artist Matthew Day Jackson to collaborate on the newest addition to its KOLHO Collection: the GLITS Rainbow Lounge Chair.
The contemporary furniture piece features a serpentine frame that is constructed from a unique rainbow plywood material, all of which are finished with a custom Formica laminate. This colorful presentation is expressive of love for those that identify as members of the TLGBQIA+ community and references the historical and contemporary use of rainbow iconography that is often found in Jackson’s work. Additionally, its cushion and back post are both styled with a dusty pink hue for a clean contrast. “Our collaboration was destiny. It all happened because of my show at the Serlachius Museum, and the collaboration unfolded very organically and led to a beautiful story”, said Jackson. “It was beyond interesting; it was an obsession and led to close friendships.”
The net proceeds of the first 20 GLITS Rainbow Lounge will be donated to GLITS Foundation in support of their work and 10% of net proceeds will be donated for all sales thereafter.
