LOEWE Throws a Kitchen Sink's Worth of Cutlery at This Silky Two-Piece

Jonathan Anderson loves nothing more than to stir up an oddity — just take a look at the designer’s eponymous line, let alone his work at LOEWE that’s produced pixelated clothing and a recipe for reduction as of late. Now, the designer has cooked up another potentially viral offering — the Fourchettes twin-set.
Fourchettes — which is French for forks and also means something quite different if one were to Google it — appear all over a pajama shirt and drawstring pants. The print is super hi-res in style, depicting contemporary cutlery and more traditional engraved styles alongside an assortment of cutlery essentials, such as spoons.
Lighter panels are on the front of the items, while at the rear and sides, the printed fluid silk twill adopts a darker hue. A classic spread collar, button fastening, and buttoned cuffs appear on the shirt alongside the LOEWE Anagram logo that’s embroidered towards the hem. As for the trousers, LOEWE applies an elasticated waist with a drawstring, concealed button fastening, seam pockets, a rear patch pocket, and further Anagram embroidery on the back.
What’s particularly interesting is that this set doesn’t really fall within any single LOEWE “collection” per se, unlike most of its clothes. Instead, this out-there ready-to-wear offering has simply appeared, as if it’s an extension of the sinkhole-wearing pieces that came as part of LOEWE’s Fall/Winter 2022 menswear show.
The shirt retails for $1,450 USD, while the trousers come in at $1,300 USD. Take a look at the ensemble above, and purchase the individual items from LOEWE’s website and boutiques now.
