As Only Watch winds up for its 2023 event, a large number of participants have begun to reveal their limited offerings, including most recently Chanel, with its “Mademoiselle J12 La Pausa” — available for bidding as a unique black and white duo.

Taking part in Only Watch since 2009, the fashion house shared that it is “proud to participate in the Only Watch auction raising funds for research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy” and that its duo offering was designed by its horlogerie specialists specifically for the event.

As its name would suggest, the Mademoiselle J12 La Pausa features a figurine, inspired by a photograph of Mademoiselle Chanel taken in her garden at La Pausa, a vacation property of hers in the south of France. The image, printed on a sapphire crystal plate, features Chanel in a Breton jersey and button-front pants.

Technical specifications of the watches include a self-winding Caliber 12.1 movement developed and produced by the Manufacture Kenissi, [co-owned by CHANEL], highly resistant ceramic cases and transparent sapphire crystal casebacks, marked “Pièce unique. Only Watch 2023. Mademoiselle J12,” to indicate their rarity.

Each timepiece features a fixed bezel in blackened steel with a baguette motif Crown in steel or blackened steel set with a brilliant-cut diamond. Both watches are water resistant up to 50 meters or 164 feet, feature highly resistant ceramic bracelets with triple-folding steel buckles and are sized at 38 mm.

Leading up to the auction, the watches will travel to Los Angeles, New York, Monaco, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai and will be auctioned in Geneva on November 5, with Only Watch’s online bidding site calling for an estimate as high as $55,000 USD for the duo.
