Formula 1 is currently at its high, gaining a massive audience through Netflix‘s Drive to Survive docu-series. Formula 1’s motorsport teams recently graced their customary slot at England’s Silverstone circuit, seeing Dutch-Belgian racer Max Verstappen take home first place.
Verstappen’s win wasn’t the only exciting news Silverstone had to offer, as Brad Pitt was also present filming an upcoming Formula 1 film. Rumors about the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie have been circulating, now confirmed at the British Grand Prix.
Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and their crew arrived at Silverstone wearing Mercedes Benz-sponsored racing uniforms. While no information on the film has been revealed, Pitt mentioned that he would be playing a 1990s retired racing driver who experienced a catastrophic car accident. After several years away, he is invited by friends to train potential F1 rookies on track. Damson Idris will play the rookie driver, while Lewis Hamilton will produce the film.
