Even AI Wants to Escape to the Sun in the Aries x Malibu Collaboration Campaign

While the campaign might be computer-generated, the grillz, tees, trucker hats, string vests and varsity jackets are certainly IRL.

Artificial intelligence is all around us, and instead of fighting against it, brands like Sofia Prantera‘s Aries are using it to their advantage — as displayed in the campaign for the Aries x Malibu collaboration.

Created by Aries’ in-house design and graphics team and AI wunderkind, Omar Karim, the imagery explores Aries at the beach and in the streets, just where you’d expect to find Malibu being consumed. Like the flavors of the drink, the collaboration is equally rich in cultural nuances, spanning much more than just T-shirts.

While tees are on offer — notably in white and one other that’s hand-dip-dyed in London, with both sporting a collaborative logo — the capsule grows into more apt realms. For example, a string vest is given a sunset treatment before being covered in palm trees and Malibu’s moniker, seen upside down, and the wool-bodied, leather-sleeved varsity jacket comes equipped with custom-made patches fit for the occasion.

Elsewhere, Aries x Malibu serves up a delicious trucker cap that oozes Y2K realness, featuring a hand-airbrushed design that combines the two’s names in a design penned by the artist Cold F33t. Rounding out the drop is the set of grillz, designed in collaboration with Milk & Honey London in dentist-grade gold. Here, you’ll find the Aries “A” alongside palm trees, and plenty of dazzling stones to set the piece apart from anyone else’s grillz.

Aries x Malibu is available at the Aries London flagship store and online now. Check out the AI campaign above.
