Peso Pluma Shares Release Date and Tracklist for New Album ‘Genesis’
The genre-bending Mexican artist will drop his new LP on June 22.
Peso Pluma has quickly climbed the ranks of the music industry, with international stardom seemingly just on the horizon. Known for his unique sound – a fusion of regional Mexican music and modern trap – the 23-year-old artist has already put out a few EPs and more recently, a series of singles with collaborators such as Becky G and Raul Vega.
Pluma has announced that he’ll be putting out his new studio album, Genesis, later this month. The 14-track album is due for release on Thursday, June 22.
Most of the artists featured on the project are Pluma’s close friends and a few are even signed to his newly-launched label, Double P Records.
Genesis opens with “ROSA PASTEL” with Jasiel Núñez, followed by “LUNA” featuring Junior H and “77” with Eladio Carrión. Later in the LP, Pluma will link with Natanael Cano for “CARNAL” and with Tito Double P for “GAVILÁN.” Additional guest features come from Darey Castro, Edgardo Nuñez, Luis R Conriquez and Gabito Ballesteros.
“The most important thing is I want to see my friends doing good,” Pluma told Hypebeast about the label in a May interview. “I’m signing people who have a lot of talent, who have a lot of hunger and vision to do different things and reach more people.”
