British luxury label Alexander McQueen is stepping into the world of fragrance. Although the House has never released its signature scent or perfume, candles are its first entryway.
Alexander McQueen’s new candle collection consists of three scents battling light and darkness while holding a traditional aura that stays true to McQueen. While different perfumers crafted each candle, the range is cohesive, dynamic, and maintains McQueen’s core codes.
“Ghost Flower” is fresh and delicate with freesia, peony, and patchouli notes, contrasting “Pagan Rose,” which comes alive through wild rose and bitter peat. Finally, “Savage Bloom” is perhaps the most jarring, with sweet tuberose top notes and woody oud at the heart.
The candles are packaged in egg-shaped black lacquered glass canisters with engraved metallic lids.
