WACKO MARIA Releases Capsule Inspired By '80s Horror Film 'Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers'
The cult classic black comedy slasher film.
WACKO MARIA is back with another graphic-heavy capsule collection. Gearing up for the Summer 2023, the latest collection continues to stay true to the brand’s affinity for vintage and ’80s inspired horror. This time around, the graphics for the capsule takes inspiration from the 1988 horror comedy film, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers. The cult-classic follows a detective on a mission to track down a women in Los Angeles’ seedy night club scene, before coming face to face with a blood-thirsty cult of lethally beautiful prostitutes. The graphics surrounding the film bring a sense of nostalgia to the late-1980s Hollywood, making it a great point of highlight for the pieces.
The collection features three types of Hawaiian shirts and shorts sets. They feature the two iconic hooker and chainsaw movie posters as well as an all-over Hollywood sign print across. The shirts and pants combination arrives in various colors including the classic white and black and for those looking for a splash of vibrancy, purple and pink provide the summer-ready hues. In addition to those pieces, the collection also includes a set of t-shirts, both long sleeves and short sleeves, that combine the movie poster graphics together. The shirts come in black and white, contrasting the vibrant print.
The WACKO MARIA x Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers collection is now available online.
