Rihanna Overtakes Eminem as Artist With Second-Most Certified RIAA Singles

Setting the new record shortly after earning her first diamond plaque.

Rihanna has dethroned Eminem as the artist with the second-most singles certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

According to reports, Rih now has 166.5 million certified units following a slew of new certifications between March to May, including her first diamond-certified record in the form of her Calvin Harris collab “We Found Love,” a five-time platinum plaque for her album Anti and other platinum singles. She has a total of 57 gold units, 44 platinum units, 34 multi-platinum units and one diamond unit, overtaking Eminem’s record of 166 million certified units comprised of 72 gold units, 40 platinum units, 30 multi-platinum units and three diamond units.

Both Rih and Eminem are still led by frontrunner Drake, however, who sits with a total of 184 million certified units including 74 gold units, 74 platinum units, 32 multi-platinum units and three diamond units.

Elsewhere in music, Daft Punk and Lil Durk x J. Cole lead the week’s Best New Tracks.
