One way that Nike will show love to its athletes is by creating footwear colorways that celebrate their momentous achievements. And this year, the Beaverton imprint’s running category is choosing to highlight Eliud Kipchoge through a brand new colorway of the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 3 that nods to his 5K win in Paris back in 2003.

The Kenyan runner is known for shattering a bevy of running records over the past two decades, one being his sub-13 minute 5K performance at the 9th IAAF World Championships in Athletics. That day, Kipchoge was sporting a Nike Zoom Miler in a clean white and red palette, so these VaporFly 3s follow that design cadence. Much of the knitted uppers are covered in white while a bold red stripe appears on the quarter panel. His initials are printed atop the tongue banners and sock liners, the latter of which also splits between the event’s date and his running time on the right side and a quote from him on the left. Furthermore, Kipchoge’s signature lands on the medial midsoles in black font.

Peep a closer look at the pair in the gallery above while you wait on their arrival.

For other news, official images of Teyana Taylor’s Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 have surfaced.
