Jorja Smith is officially back. The British artist has been dropping hints of new music in the works since April 2023, teasing that another album might be coming. Smith’s second record is finally here, announcing that Falling or Flying will release globally later this year.

Falling or Flying marks the artist’s first full-length album since her debut five years ago, expanding her sound across new genres that combine Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Funky House. The project envisions Smith in a new light, detailing her musical evolution and personal transformation. The record promises something completely new, comprised of thumping instrumentals and club-ready beats enchanted by Smith’s angelic vocals.

Falling or Flying walks through the singer’s emotional journey over the past half-decade, speaking on friendships, breakups, and her connection with self.

To celebrate the release, Jorja Smith is holding a series of live shows in the UK. She will travel through Kingston, Nottingham, London, and Bristol from September 28 to October 9.

Jorja Smith’s second album Falling or Flying will release on September 29 via streaming platforms globally. Concert tickets will be available for purchase on May 19 at 10 a.m. BST via her website.
