Corinne Foxx, the actor, singer and comedian’s daughter, (and his co-star on game show Beat Shazam) took to her Instagram Stories to share that he’s been out of the hospital for “weeks” after earlier reports indicated that his friends and family were “preparing for the worst.” According to the post, Foxx has been recuperating, and is even healthy enough to play pickleball. Corinne also noted the breathless media coverage around her father’s hospitalization, stating that it was “sad” to see how news outlets “ran wild” reporting on his purported ailments. The younger Foxx also thanked her father’s fans for their prayers and support, and said that an “exciting work announcement” was coming next week as well.

While filming the upcoming Back in Action with co-star Cameron Diaz last month, the beloved actor suffered a medical complication off-set. Foxx’s family has not shared what exactly happened to the actor but has been offering updates that indicate his condition is improving.
Despite these positive reports, Foxx is still hospitalized and the lack of information and general updates have led many to theorize about his condition, with some news outlets even providing live updates. One report said that Foxx’s condition was dire when he entered the hospital April 12 and noted an unnamed source saying, “But he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to okay.
