Walt Disney Studios has released the official trailer for Haunted Mansion. Promising to be both funny and spooky, the movie is inspired by the classic “The Haunted Mansion” theme park attraction currently found in Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, and Disneyland Tokyo. The idea for the ride precedes even the idea of Disneyland, dating back to when Walt Disney hired his first Imagineers.

In the film, a woman and her son enlist a motley crew of “so-called spiritual experts” including a tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to get rid of supernatural squatters who refuse to vacate the home. The star-studded cast includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jared Leto. The film is directed by Justin Simien with Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich serving as producers.

Haunted Mansion officially lands in theaters on July 28. Take a look at the official trailer above.
