Authmade Assists the NBA and WNBA in Celebrating AAPI Heritage With New Capsule

Basketball fans have been enjoying the action and drama-packed NBA Playoffs for the past few weeks with titans such as the Milwaukee Bucks falling in the first round. Now, as the second round continues to play out, the NBA — alongside the WNBA — have teamed up with sports fashion brand Authmade to celebrate Asian/Pacific Islander cultural heritage with a new apparel capsule.

Following up on Authmade and the NBA’s collection for Lunar New Year, the “Heirloom Collection” has been designed to pay homage to the stories passed down from one generation to another. Honoring ancestry, heavyweight tees and garment-dyed pullover hoodies have been assembled with thematic graphics for both the NBA and WNBA. Rounding out the collection, a track jacket for the NBA sees red gradient detailing combine with embroidered artwork and patches for a blend of retro appeal and an on-theme presentation.

For those interested in shopping the NBA x WNBA x Authmade “Heirloom Collection,” it is available now via the NBA Store and WNBA Store. It touches down on Authmade’s website on May 8 with prices beginning at $70 USD for t-shirts and going up to $250 USD for the track jacket. A portion of all proceeds goes to Apex for Youth, a non-profit that empowers underserved Asian and immigrant youth.
