adidas' 1998 Ozweego 3 Returns This Year
The chunky sneaker is dug out of the archives.
2023 has been a year of storied returns. Several footwear brands have looked into their archives to find dated silhouettes that tell a story. From Kobe Bryant‘s top ten rookie shoes to AVIA‘s ’80s basketball kicks, adidas is coming into the mix to re-release its 1998 Ozweego 3.
The model is reinstated in its original “Footwear White,” “Pulse Yellow,” and “Royal Blue” tones. Its sport-inspired blueprint is maintained, while Adidas Performance logos are abolished from the updated design.
A white mesh base sets the tone, while angular blue leather accents twirl into the rears clashing with neon yellow Three Stripes branding. Fresh adidas Ozweego lettering is embroidered on the tongues, complete with bulky midsoles and two-toned rubber bottoms.
