Forbes has unveiled its list of billionaires of 2023 and JAY-Z is the only rapper to have made it.

As per Forbes, Hov’s current net worth sits at $2.5 billion USD and has more than doubled his fortune ever since being named hip-hop’s first billionaire in 2019. Just earlier this February, he sold a majority of his stake in his D’USSÉ cognac brand to Bacardi for $750 million USD. His other assets include his champagne brand Armand de Brignac, where LVMH acquired a 50% stake just two years ago, his collection of fine art that features works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, his shares in the likes of major companies such as Block and Uber and, of course, his music catalog. His net worth rose from $1.4 billion USD in 2022.

Sitting at No. 1 on this year’s list is LVMH’s Bernard Arnault with a $222.9 billion USD net worth. Other big names who made it in top 10 include Elon Musk at No. 2 with $180 billion USD and Jeff Bezos at No. 3 with $114 billion USD.
