Which pair was your favorite?
Amidst word of Ye and adidas reportedly reaching an agreement to sell remaining YEEZY sneaker stock valued at $500 million USD, YEEZY insiders YEEZY MAFIA recently returned to share a retrospective of the partnership. Taking to Instagram, YEEZY MAFIA put together a look at every adidas YEEZY sneaker ever released, which comes in at a staggering 236 pairs.
Launched back in February 2015, the collaborative relationship between YEEZY and the German sportswear brand launched a lasting craze in the sneaker world with evocative contemporary footwear designs. Aside from the sneakers in limited edition colorways, adidas YEEZY also saw the release of slippers and various street leaning apparel styles. The first adidas YEEZY footwear model came in the form of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 750, which shared how the partnership would utilize adidas’ popular BOOST sole technology.
A follow-up came in the form of the YEEZY BOOST 350 and upgraded BOOST 350 V2 iteration, which is regarded as adidas YEEZY’s most successful design. Other models seen throughout the ongoing partnership included the YEEZY 950, Powerphase Calabasas, BOOST 700, BOOST 500, QNTM and BSKTBL QNTM, FOAM RUNNER, BOOST 450, KNIT RNR, and NSLTD Boot.
Despite the success of adidas YEEZY, back in October 2022, adidas officially announced that it would be terminating its partnership with Ye and YEEZY with immediate effect after the artist went on an antisemitic tirade.
