Playboy Magazine has announced its return with its first-ever digital cover. According to the New York Post, the relaunch of the racy label’s “online publication will serve as an entry to Playboy’s ‘creator platform.’ The platform was first called “Centerfold” and was first introduced when Cardi B was announced as the creative director.

Dropping the “Centerfold” name, the platform still aims to be an OnlyFans alternative for “elevated, safe and exclusive” content. Both adult and non-adult content will be seen on their online pages and subscribers will receive exclusive access to the magazine’s digital covers. Gracing the brand’s first digital cover is Amanda Cerny, a former Playmate. Variety has reported that Playboy will be offering a new mix of free and paid content but users are expected to pay individual creators for behind-the-scenes content and full photo shoots. A Playboy spokesperson said, “Many of our creators do not have nudity on their pages. While we allow nudity, we do not allow explicit content/pornography…We are not positioning this as an ‘adult’ platform—it’s for everyone, including mainstream creators sharing behind the scenes of their lives.” Different from OnlyFans, Playboy will not be allowing amateur models on its platforms.

In another statement, Playboy’s Chief Brand Officer Rachel Webber said, “Our Playboy creator platform is the Playboy magazine for the 21st century. We’re putting the power of content creation in the hands of the creative community and giving them the tools to interact with and monetize their fanbases directly.” The new digital magazine is set to feature written content, such as essays, from creators who will describe what it is like to be a part of Playboy.
