Jason Sudeikis remains to be tight-lipped about the end of Ted Lassoalthough he did hint that the Apple TV+ show’s upcoming third season may be its last.

In a recent interview with Deadline, the co-creator and star revealed that they are waiting to see what the mood will be like once the entire season has aired. “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet—that being Season 3—it’s flattering,” Sudeikis shared. “Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they’re like, ‘Man, you know what, we get it, we’re fine. We don’t need anymore, we got it.’ But until that time comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we’ve come up with so far.”

He also addressed the possibility of a Ted Lasso spinoff, “Yeah, I think that we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks…to get to watch the further telling of these stories.” He continued, “Again, I can’t help but take the question as flattery for what all of us that were working on the show has tried to do. It’s really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what’s gonna happen when you make things. The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different avenue is lovely.” Sudeikis further joked that he could use Cameo, the website popular for allowing fans to pay for personalized videos from celebrities, to return as Ted in the future.

Ted Lasso season three will pick up where its predecessor left off, which sees Nate over at West Ham United — the rival team of AFC Richmond as it’s owned by the ex-husband of Rebecca — as their new head coach and the rest of AFC Richmond as they enter a new season and attempt to beat the odds that aren’t looking to be in their favor.

Ted Lasso season three premieres March 15 on Apple TV+.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Martin Scorsese’s The Devil in the White City is no longer moving forward at Hulu.
