Breitling Drops Six New Premier B01 References and Expands Its Top Time Classic Cars Collection
All utilizing the ultra-precise Manufacture Caliber 01.
Breitling has announced the launch of six new Premier chronographs, alongside the latest addition to its Top Time Classic Cars Collection, the Ford Thunderbird watch. Although separate, both collections utilize Breitling’s own Manufacture Caliber 01, a self-winding mechanical movement for maximum precision, reliability, and functionality.
Coinciding with a new book launch that chronicles the watchmaker’s most collectible chronograph, the Premier B01 Collection comprises six references that update the specialty piece with a heritage-inspired design. To live up to founder Willy Breitling’s uncompromising technical standards, the in-house Caliber 01 is integrated into the timepieces for a 70-hour power reserve. A more compact oscillating weight can be observed via the model’s sapphire crystal caseback.
Meanwhile, on the design front, the new Premier chronographs are outfitted with smooth fixed bezels, twin-register dials, applied Arabic numerals and streamlined rectangular pushers. Spanning five 42mm references and a 30mm version, the pieces are also offered in a selection of colorways ranging from salmon, blue, green, black, and cream, complete with alligator leather straps or metal bracelets.
Expanding Breitling’s sports car-inspired lineup, the new Ford Thunderbird timepiece arrives in a clean, white dial and is paired with a red calfskin leather strap. Drawing inspiration from the namesake 1954 vehicle, the 30mm watch features a teal Thunderbird logo and red chronograph hands on the dial. Adding to the sporty appeal are the perforated details on the straps, alongside an implemented speed-measuring tachymeter scale, and contrasting “squircle” subdials that nod to vintage dashboard gauges.
