Balenciaga Drops $8,350 USD Rhinestone-Covered Technoclog
Summer 2023’s “The Mud Show” star footwear now arrives in “Saphir Blue” or “Crystal.”
Demna‘s Balenciaga isn’t one to shy away from creating absurd designs — remind yourself of the HardCrocs or its “Objects” line for instance — but its latest release might be one of its most outlandish yet; the Technoclog.
However, these aren’t any old Technoclogs from the House’s controversial Summer 2023 “The Mud Show” collection, no. Instead, the styles you see above are Balenciaga’s leading pieces, arriving in blue rubber or black rubber designs that are covered in blue or clear rhinestones, respectively.
The hefty clog was seen in Look 54 and Look 64 on the runway, adding a dazzling sparkle to the feet of models who trenched through liquid mud. Regardless of the colorway you opt for, you’ll find a clog sporting a 90mm platform, hundreds of rhinestones, a pointed toe, tonal interiors branded with Balenciaga’s moniker and grooved with grippy ridges, and an outsole also bearing Balenciaga’s name.
