Helmut Lang Pre-Fall 2024 Is Fit for Everyday City Life

A new day dawned at Helmut Lang when Peter Do presented his debut collection as creative director for the SS24 season this past September. Keen on keeping Lang’s minimalist aesthetics, Do fused its core values with his affinity for precise, exquisite and versatile pieces that are just as powerful as they are attractive. Now Do is back with his second collection for the brand for the Pre-Fall 2024 season. With it, Do expands the Lang aesthetic in a way that is fit for everyday city life.
With the latest being a pre-season collection, Do and his team were able to focus completely on the essence of wardrobe. With the drama of a runway show on the shelf, there remains a deeper personality of how people can wear the new garments from sun up to sun down across a variety of places. This time around, Do’s continued revival of the Lang brand sees a key focus on tailoring ranging from cropped blazers and cream-colored suiting with a slightly relaxed touch to chic overcoats.
The refined heartbeat of the collection is furthered with everyday knitwear complimented by separate shoulder attachments, zip-ups that fuse technical and classic styles, elevated cargo pants and classic wool pants. Another collection standout is a lineup of raw denim that fused archival Lang style notes with modern sentiments – adorned with paint splatters, flap pockets and classic washes. With just his second collection at the brand under his belt, it is clear that Do is focused on bringing Lang’s minimal, wearable styles into the modern day with an irrefutably elegant aura.
