Doritos and Empirical Come Together for the First-Ever Nacho Cheese-Flavored Spirit

Known for its quirky spirit creations, Empirical has now come together with Doritos for a wild new liquor option. Dubbed the “Empirical x Doritos Nacho Cheese Spirit,” the limited-edition release is described as a “multi-sensorial, delicious beverage experience.”
Through a production process where real Doritos chips are subjected to vacuum distillation, the smell and taste of the nacho cheese flavoring is extracted into the spirit.
“Doritos is all about disrupting culture and bringing our fans unexpected, bold experiences,” said Tina Mahal, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Frito-Lay North America via press release. “We’re always pushing our fans to try new things, so we figure it’s time we disrupt the spirits category by offering our iconic nacho cheese flavor in a bottle.”
Priced at $65 USD, the Empirical x Doritos Nacho Cheese Spirit comes in a 750 ml bottle (42% ABV) and will be available in January at select retailers in New York and California with pre-orders starting now at doritos.x.empirical.co.
