Bernhard Lederer Presents a Dial-Less Central Impulse Chronometer InVerto Series
Where you can read time directly off the watch’s movement.
Independent watchmaker Bernhard Lederer has revealed a new and innovative watch series: the Central Impulse Chronometer InVerto. A testament to Lederer’s inventiveness, technical know-how and remarkable craftsmanship, the Inverto exhibits a dial-less design that offers an unobstructed look at its movement.
The hand-wound and mechanical movement beats at a rate of 21,600 vph inside its 44mm DLC-treated steel case. Equipped with pairs of independent barrels, gear trains, independent escapement wheels, as well as two constant-force remontoires with the escapement that marks a first in watchmaking history.
Despite its dial-less design, the watch is not without its quintessential time-keeping features. Affixed with skeleton hour and seconds hands, minimalistic indices have also been engraved on the inside of its domed sapphire crystal — offering wearers the unique pleasure of reading time directly off the watch’s movement.
Presented as an ultra-limited series of 18 examples, every piece is hand-crafted, assembled, and finished by Lederer, alongside his small team at their Saint-Blaise workshop. His namesake watch brand is also one of the very few independent Maisons that maintains an almost fully in-house production for their watch components.
