Goldwin 0 Centers on Refined Functionality for FW23
Exploring the brand’s archives to orient the collection.
The Japanese entity, Goldwin 0, is deepening its outerwear specialty with the reveal of its new Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Leading the way for the seasons is a focus on refined, yet functional pieces.
To begin their approach, Nur Abbas and the Goldwin design team explored the brand’s archives and history to orient the collection. Out of their research and emphasis on contemporary techniques came a capsule collection without compromising quality. Comprising the collection is a selection of recycled down jackets, vests, knit pullovers and wool pants.
Livening the down jackets and vests is a 3D baffle construction for extra warmth. Moreover, the knit pullovers take their inspiration from Goldwin’s uniforms for the Japan national team in 1964. With the wool pants, their construction comes together through a hybridized tailored and climbing pants style.
Aside from the FW23 collection, Goldwin 0 also revealed the latest version of its Inquiry campaign, #5.2. With it, Goldwin continues its Collective Study exploration, which is set to emerge over a year with episodes and events. The overall mission is to continue growing its collaborative network to exalt a variety of voices.
Take a look at the new offering in the gallery above. Goldwin 0’s Fw23 collection and #5.2 campaign are set to be released on November 17 online.
