Nintendo Switch 2 Design Rumors Surface
The upcoming console will reportedly feature a 3DS-like concept.
According to reports, possible design elements for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console have surfaced. The reports are based on a patent recently filed by Nintendo that shows a new handheld device concept. Nintendo’s patent application for the handheld device was filed back on November 11, 2022.
The patent filed reveals schematics of a dual-screen device that functions much like Nintendo’s 3DS. The design can be flipped open to reveal playable screens and an exterior touchscreen is accessible. Additionally, while disconnected the screens act as part of two separate devices.
The design is expected to be used on the Nintendo Switch 2 but there is a chance that the patent could serve as an accompanying handheld for another Switch 2 design.
