BEAMS x Columbia PFG Looks Into the Archives for New Collab
Time to head to the water.

BEAMS is not scared of the magic of collaboration – often looking at how the fusion of brand personalities crafts something completely new. Just to name a few, the Tokyo-based company has collaborated with the likes of Lavenham, Champion, JanSport, Starbucks, The North Face and more. Now the brand is dipping into fishing by joining forces with Columbia PFG for a new collaboration.
Since its establishment in 1938, Columbia has had a keen understanding of the necessity of sportswear garments that are functional, versatile and still stylish. As such, the Portland-based brand has evolved into a globally recognized entity due to its deep catalog of pieces that span a variety of lines and activities. So with the new collaboration, BEAMS has specifically linked up with the PFG arm of Columbia, which focuses on performance fishing gear.
But to bring the new offering to life, the two brands dug into the archives. The collaboration is inspired by Columbia PFG’s archival Multi-Pocket Fishing Vest, which was one of the sub-line’s first pieces. With that in mind, the two brands offer up fishing/technical style pieces featuring a Fishing Jacket and Finishing Pants. Appearing in classic shades of black and deep gray, the pieces are complete with a seamless 2-way design, front pockets and a drawcord hem.
Take a look at the new offering in the gallery above. The BEAMS x Columbia PFG collaboration will be released on October 27 at BEAMS BOY stores and online.
