AVIA Legacy Taps Leader Quality for Archive-Inspired Footwear and Apparel Collaboration
Featuring an updated iteration of the classic basketball sneaker, the AVIA 855.
American footwear label AVIA Legacy has joined forces with creative imprint Leader Quality for a collaborative rendition of the AVIA 855 silhouette and a range of apparel, dubbed “For The Creative Game.”
The AVIA 855 first appeared in the late 1980s, landing on the feet of some basketball’s most famous players. For the collaboration, Leader Quality has revived the iconic silhouette under a new moniker, the “LDR 855,” with identical full-grain, sturdy tumbled leather uppers, breathable mesh lining, EVA midsoles and strong Cantilever cupsoles. The shoe arrives in a “Flame Orange” colorway, nodding to Leader Quality’s company tones, with complementary hues of “Evergreen,” “Tan” and “White.”
In the words of Leader Quality, this sneaker is for people “in all walks of creativity” who abide by the following mantra: “Whatever you do, work with all your heart.” “It’s for the Creators, by the Creators, with the Creators,” according to the brand.
Alongside the signature shoe, AVIA Legacy and Leader Quality have crafted a full range of ready-to-wear, featuring a durable workwear jacket, two heavyweight hoodies and a pop-up exclusive T-shirt. Additionally, the collection includes a co-branded morning coffee mug.
The Leader Quality x AVIA Legacy “For The Creative Game” collection will be available to shop at Extra Butter in New York’s Lower East Side neighborhood on October 28. The line will then launch online on November 1 at 10 a.m. ET. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.
