Aries and ROA Unveil Future-Facing Hiking Boot Collaboration
Taking the campaign to Newcastle, North East England, to align itself with Britain’s great outdoors.
London-based imprint Aries has connected with ROA Hiking for a collaborative capsule, unveiling a new take on ROA’s original Italian Alp “Andreas” hiking boot.
Recently, Aries has built a stellar reputation as a collaborator, connecting with only the finest of brands that align with its ethos and allow it to add its own spin on trademarked classics. For example, Aries’ collaboration with Juicy Couture reworked tracksuits in honor of Nudie Cohn — an American tailor who designed decorative rhinestone-covered suits — whilst its link-up with Umbro presented Aries’ unapologetically British design process across rugby-inspired fits with a contemporary edge.
Now, Aries x ROA Hiking combines the best features of both parities. Taking ROA’s classic hiking boot silhouette and reshaping it with an asymmetrical toe construction, it’s highlighted with reflective taping, 3MM accents, and Aries’ signature flecked climbing cord in two interchangeable colorways.
Available in all-black and zebra “Pony” skin iterations, each pair of co-branded hikers is complemented with dual-branded Aries x ROA logos on the high-top collar and includes customary ROA features; such as quick-lacing external metal hooks, a pull tab heel, rubber toe cap, and a Vibram Megagrip toothed tread pattern sole.
Taking its campaign to Newcastle, North East England, Aries x ROA take a closer look at the British obsession with the great outdoors, while embracing inspiration from iconic British movies such as Mike Leigh’s 1976-released film, Nuts in May and Ben Wheatley’s Sightseers.
