Sacai FW23 Reimagines Outerwear Silhouettes With Expansive Hybridization Collection
Introducing new Carhartt WIP, Moncler and Nike collaborations.
Time and time again, Chitose Abe brings her hybridized vision to life with a reimagined collection of traditional pieces. This sacai Fall/Winter 2023 showcased during Paris Fashion Week was no different.
This season saw Abe expand the hybridized combination to classic outerwear silhouettes. The collection features deconstructed and reconstructed puffer jackets, exaggerated a-line overcoats, as well as the label’s archetypal weather-ready jackets. The co-ed collection showcased Abe’s genius when it comes to highlighting movement, fluidity, and tailoring.

The collection introduces vibrant colors which see oversized bomber jackets in bright orange as well as multi-colored cardigans in mohair material. Padded jackets in a patchwork design draw attention, as do classic bomber jackets and long overcoats hybrids that bring the perfect amalgamation of formal and street all-in-one. Additional graphics like a full classic bookstore and the circuit board are new designs for the FW23 season, another focal point for the season.
