HUF Kicks off 2023 by Celebrating Its First 20 Years With an Archival Hardcover Book
Featuring anecdotes, key collaborations and behind-the-scenes photography.

HUF is starting the 2023 year strong with the release of the label’s new archival hardcover book, 20 Years of HUF, documenting the first two decades of the brand. The titular skatewear and streetwear collective was founded in 2002 by Keith Hufnagel and the book aim to give fans inside workings of how the brand came to be.
The book features various interviews with friends, creatives, crew and personalities close to the brand chronicling how HUF started and grew into the streetwear staple it is today. The book also highlights key collaborations, artworks, and behind-the-scene photography amongst anecdotes from the culture’s OG figures.
A teaser to the book, the press release has revealed a few quotes from key people including Hanni El Khatib who shared one of his most memorable moments with Hufnagel, “We’d bomb down Hyde street with a tall can, skate the library, get a late dinner, and then go party. There was a bar across the street where we had a monthly party at. It was called Lurk Or Die. We’d play old skate videos but we were still so obsessed with designing, and we’d be at the bar coming up with new ideas. So we would have an idea and go back to the store and try to design it at 2 am. Then the next day roll in at noon and see what the hell you were working on.”
The 216-page 20 Years of HUF book is available now online and at HUF flagship stores.
