According to reports, Warner Bros. Pictures is now developing a sequel to Constantine. The news comes 17 years after the release of the original live-action adaptation of the DC Comics character and has John Constantine fans excited after months of rumors.

Constantine 2 is expected to be a direct sequel to the 2005 supernatural thriller and will see a reunion of star Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence. Akiva Goldsman will be responsible for the screenplay and will be producing the project through his Weed Road Pictures imprint, alongside Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella. Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Erwin Stoff will serve as executive producers for the Warner Bros. Pictures project.
