An absolute unit.

Serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since 1997, Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is one of the longest-running and most popular manga series of the last quarter-century. Earlier this year, it celebrated its 25th anniversary by breaking the Guinness world record for a manga’s most globally-published copies, and now conceptual comic artist Ilan Manouach is celebrating its reach and impact with a colossal “comic book” dubbed ONEPIECE that includes all 50 volumes of One Piece from 1997 to today.

Clocking in at 21,450 pages, weighing in at roughly 37 1/2 pounds and boasting a spine width of 31.5 inches, ONEPIECE is an absolute unit that’s not designed to be read — just displayed. Thankfully its enormous spine is awash in full-color illustrations that spotlight memorable people and moments from the manga, like the main character Luffy D. Monkey, the Thousand Sunny ship and One Piece‘s many intense battles, and it’s packaged in a firm display case that helps it keep its structure.

According to Manouach, ONEPIECE was created to be “contemplated as a materialization of digital comics’ very own media-saturated digital ecosystem” and “exists only as an object of pure speculation.” He also notes that the mega-comic explores the divides — and the parallels — between comics’ “use value” for readers and “exchange value” for collectors.

If you’re a die-hard One Piece fan with the desire (and the shelf space) for this unique display piece, information on how to purchase ONEPIECE is available on Manouach’s website. It’s limited to a signed and numbered edition of 50, and is priced at €1,900 EUR (approximately $1,899 USD), not including shipping.

Elsewhere in the world of entertainment, Sony Pictures has announced a new Karate Kid movie.
