England’s 2022 World Cup Jerseys Are a Smash-And-Grab

English football is arguably in the best place it’s ever been in. While the men’s national squad has seen major tournament success with a World Cup semi-final and Euro final in the last two competitions, the women’s team has recently done the country proud after bringing football home with a Euro win over the summer. Each major tournament where England’s national squads have succeeded has come with an iconic kit, and now Nike Football and England have presented the new home and away kits for this winter’s World Cup in Qatar. The new designs take inspiration from the boldness and youthful energy of the current first team and both kits come in traditional England colorways, with the home jersey coming in white and the away in red. The home jersey comes with a clean base that features stand-out “Blue Void” patterns and color gradients representing a distorted design of the Three Lions graphic on the shoulders. The away kit — that’s reminiscent of the 1998 jersey — features a reimagined collar and features a knitted Three Lions graphic when the collar is popped.

Along with the new jerseys, Nike Football has also presented the new training garments that are crafted from high-quality Dri-FIT ADV technology and 100% recycled polyester. The lightweight kit is also engineered pixel by pixel and is breathable on the skin to create a consistent airflow, avoiding hot and sweaty distractions for the players under the Qatar sun. Rounding off the collection of England garments, a lifestyle capsule is also available and is the first-ever melange of garments that have been created for winter. The range includes track sets, polo shirts, raincoats, and hoodies that are designed to be worn alongside the new jerseys.
