Studies Have Shown That eBay Is the Cheapest Resale Platform

In a recent study from VoucherCodes, the website has collected data analyzing the cost of 20 of the most popular fashion brand items this year. In the search for items like the Dior Saddlebag, the Jacquemus Bambino, as well as the hottest Nike or YEEZY sneakers, it appears that each resale platform has a great variance of prices.

The data found was compared across three re-sale sites including DePop, eBay and Vinted. Amongst the three, the prices for similar items saw great variance, with eBay being the least expensive for pre-owned fashion products. For instance, a pair of high-top Nike Air Jordans sold for 315% more on Vinted. When analyzing the costs, 12 out of 20 of the items compared were significantly cheaper on eBay, while only five were cheaper on Depop and three on Vinted.
